Processing Assistant IV
Caswell County Public Health has an opening for a full-time Processing Assistant IV to work in the clinic. This position serves as the front desk receptionist for the main health department facility and also provides additional clerical support in other areas.
Salary: $31,104 with 4% increase after 9-month probationary period
Medical Office Assistant
Caswell County Public Health has an opening for a full-time Medical Office Assistant to work in the clinic. This position supports clinical staff primarily in the lab. Requires CNA and phlebotomy certification
Salary: $28,800 with 4% increase after 9-month probationary period.
Public Health Nurse II
Caswell County Public Health has an opening for a full-time Public Health Nurse II to work in the clinic. This position provides direct patient care to a wide variety of clinical programs.
Requires RN and two years of professional nursing experience, one of which must have been in public health. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: $52,512 with 4% increase after 9-month probationary period
Environmental Health Food and Lodging Program Coordinator
Caswell County Public Health has an opening for a full-time Registered Environmental Health Specialist to serve as the program coordinator for the Food & Lodging Program.
Requires Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours of coursework in the physical and biological sciences. Currently registered as an Environmental Health Specialist by the North Carolina State Board of Environmental Health Specialist Examiners. Two years of experience at the Environmental Health Specialist level in a health department.
Salary: $54,708 with a 4% increase after a 9-month probationary period
Environmental Health Specialist
Caswell County Public Health has an opening for an Environmental Health Specialist to work in a variety of areas including soils, food and lodging, and onsite wastewater.
Requires Bachelor's Degree with 30 semester hours of course work in the physical or biological sciences and two years of exposure in Environmental Health; or a four-year or Master's degree in Environmental Health from a program which is accredited by the National Accreditaiton Council for Environmental Health Curricula of the National Environmental Health Association and one year of experience in Environmental Health.
Salary: $49,884 with 4% increase after 9-month probationary period.
Public Health Educator - Preparedness Coordinator
Caswell County Public Health has an opening for a full-time Health Educator to work in the Public Health Preparedness and Healthy Communities programs.
Requires Bachelors Degree in Health Education, or in another major with one year of on-the-job training as a public health educator.
Salary: $38,400 with 4% increase after 9-month probationary period

Insurance:
Health Insurance: The employee’s health insurance premiums are covered by the county, except for $15/month (family coverage is extra). Health insurance coverage starts 30-60 days after hire depending on hire date.
Other Insurance: Various AFLAC, vision and dental policies paid for by employee are available.
Retirement:
State Retirement System: Approximately 6% of salary is deducted from salary and county adds about an additional 6% (vested after 5 years). The actual percentages paid by the employee and county is determined by the state retirement system each year.
401k Plan: Is available but the county does not provide any match
Longevity Bonus:
0-4 Years = 0% of current salary
5-9 Years = 1% of current salary
10-14 Years = 2% of current salary
15-19 Years = 3% of current salary
20 Years – Retirement = 4% of current salary
