The Home Health Agency provides quality home care to patients who are homebound, under the care of a physician, and in need of skilled services. We serve all of Caswell, and parts of Rockingham,
Alamance, Orange, and Guilford Counties. Any-one may call and requst the services. A nurse will evaluate the referral and contact the patient's doctors for orders. Home Health Services can be paid
for in a number of ways including: Medicare/ Medicaid, Private Insurance, VA/ CHAMPUS, and Workers' Compensation. A sliding scale fee schedule is available for patients who qualify. Services
include:
Skilled Nursing
On-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, instruction in how to care for patients at home, sterile & non-sterile dressing changes, catheter care, IV administration, patient education, injections,
blood draws, care for terminally ill patients, blood pressure monitoring, and ostomy care.
Home Health Technician
Bathing, shampoo/shave, assist in ambulation or positioning, decubitis/skin care, range of motion exercises, and incidential household chore related to patient's personal care.
Physical Therapy
Set up exercise programs, activities for daily living training, gait training and ambulation, prosthetic training, transfer techniques, postural training and breathing techniques, and assessment of
safety of home environment.
Community Alternative Program
The Community Alternative Program allows Medicaid recipients with disabilities to receive the services necessary to allow them to stay at home and avoid or delay admission to a long-term care
facility. CAP Provides (from the agency of choice): medical services, supplies (diapers, Ensure, etc), durable medical equipment (beds, wheelchairs, etc) as needed, and unlimited prescriptions with a
minimal co-pay. CAP-DA is for disabled adults and CAP-C is for children.
